Yellow Rose 4 is a variable edition fine art flower emulsion lift print adhered to Cotton Paper.  Available in square sizes 8”, 12”, 20” and 28”.  A gold iridescence glows from the image and changes depending on the angle of your view.

About This Artwork:
Emulsion Lift Prints are an Alternative Printing Process that differs from a photograph print.  Both start out the same as digital images from the computer. Both are printed using the same printer.  However, whereas a photographic print is completed once it is printed on paper, the Emulsion Print begins its life printed on a transparent film and then is hand painted with an Emulsion.  Painting the film actually moves the ink a bit resulting in brush marks, streaks, and various types of imperfections.  The emulsions are mixed with gold and or pearl micas giving the images a luster and  3-dimensionality that you will not see in a photographic print.  The process continues when the film is soaked in water.  While in the water the emulsion, a very thin material,  will separate from the film allowing its removal from the water.  It is then adhered to cotton paper.  The paper and images are hand sized and will have size variations, i.e., will not be a perfect square.  When dry it is ready for shipping, framing and ready to bring extra beauty to your space!  Please note that colors may vary from what appears on your screen.

Exploring the vibrant city of Los Angeles, I found myself captivated by the stunning beauty of the Exposition Rose Garden. Spring had arrived in full splendor, and the garden was adorned with an abundance of breathtaking blooms. Mesmerized by the sight of nature's artistry in full display, I spent the day immersed in capturing the essence of these magnificent flowers through my lens. Each bloom seemed to exude its own unique charm and radiance, and I found myself lost in the sheer magnificence of it all.
Among the myriad of blooms I photographed that day, a few particular roses stood out in grandeur and elegance. One of these, with its immense size and vibrant hues of yellow and orange, commanded attention and admiration. I affectionately named it "Yellow Rose 4” as I failed to note its specific variety amidst the overwhelming beauty of the garden. Determined to preserve the essence of this stunning bloom, I transformed the photograph into a one-of-a-kind emulsion lift print. Infused with gold mica, the print radiates with a renaissance-like aura, evoking a sense of timeless beauty and sophistication.
