Jamie Buzil, a photographic artist from Glencoe, Illinois, merges her business acumen with a passion for artistry. Formerly in finance at a confectionery and food packaging company, Jamie delved into marketing and catalog development alongside her financial responsibilities. Beyond her corporate role, Jamie's creativity knows no bounds, extending into realms such as Photoshop, alternative printing techniques, knitting, and painting.

Formally honing her craft, Jamie earned a Certificate of Merit in the Fine Art Photography Track from the Chicago Botanic Garden. She's a member of esteemed artistic communities, including CPAS (Chicago Photographic Arts Society), Women Undefined, Filter Photo and LACP. Jamie’s artistic journey traces back to her childhood, where her father's passion for photography and creativity left an indelible mark. Immersed in her father's darkroom and captivated by the art of tinting black and white photographs, Jamie cultivated a discerning eye for photography.

Drawing inspiration from luminaries like Georgia O'Keefe and Imogen Cunningham, Jamie's floral and fauna compositions bear testament to their influence. Yet, beyond her artistic idols, Jamie finds inspiration in the interplay of light and shadow, drawn to their ever-shifting dynamics and inherent contrast, shaping her unique artistic vision.
